Playa El Portillo

For me, one of the most beautiful beaches. In the most beautiful part of Las Terrenas - El Portillo, whose name has the beach itself - Playa El Portillo. This part of town is full of apart-hotels, with ocean view and perfect nature.

In this part of the beach there is also a perfect high end restaurant Porto, where you should definitely go - you will certainly appreciate the English-speaking staff and also the excellent gastronomy. I am not going to mention the drinks, they are great everywhere on this island :). This restaurant is of course open-space, fancy designed, it is connected with the beach, you will also find beach beds here, where you can enjoy the sun and at the same time sip refreshing drinks.

There is also a beach bar a short distance away, so do not miss it ! :) If you want to take a walk, I recommend going to the tip of the beach - Cap Portillo, where in addition to the azure ocean and white sand (which is, by the way, along the whole beach) you can see kite-surfing.

It's quite windy here, but the ocean is quite calm - but I can never get enough of the beautiful color and purity of the water, which I wrote about above :). And if you wanted to take a nice photo on a swing hanging from a palm tree, you would find it here :)
