Las Galeras
The last part, or place on the Samaná peninsula is Las Galeras. I literally call this part of the island the end of the world, especially because you will not meet masses of tourists or see huge luxury hotel complexes.
Las Galeras is a place created for those who want to experience the true Caribbean in all its splendor. On the way through the city you will notice the everyday life of the locals together with the beautiful nature. It is a quiet town, with a few restaurants and bars. However, its dominance is enchanting nature. Beaches with white sand and azure clear ocean like from the covers of magazines. Cliffs overlooking the endless ocean. Peace, quiet and well-being. This is Las Galeras.
Be sure not to miss beach Playa Rincon, from which you will be just amazed. No filter needed. Trust me. No wonder it is one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches on Earth.
At its very end you will find Caño Frío - a stream or rather a lake with really refreshing-cold water.
The boat will take you to the beautiful beaches - Playa Fronton and Playa Madama.
An interesting tourist destination is La Boca del Diablo, literally the mouth of the devil. It is a natural phenomenon where ocean waters crash into rocks and spring to the surface.
And the last point I must mention and you must not miss is El Cabito. This is the very end of the world as I mentioned above. It's a cliff where you will find only one small restaurant with breathtaking viewpoint at the ocean, which I wrote about here.
Las Galeras - here you will experience the harmony of perfect nature and undisturbed peace.
