ONE OF THE MOST bizarre places on the planet.
5-floor hilltop castle in Sosua. Hundreds of works of art, Haitian sculptures, 4 spaceships, space themed, and spectacular views of Puerto Plata Bay, Sosua City, and the ocean. It is not even possible to describe what you canfind there, but this experience is unforgettable and you have certainly not seen anything like it. In addition, it is not visited very much in the off-season and it arouses conflicting feelings.
The castle was built by the German artist Rolf Schulz, who fulfilled his lifelong dream of a castle in the Dominican Republic. He lived in it until his death in 2018 without electricity or water. He donated the castle to the Dominican Republic.
It is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and the entrance fee is 300 pesos.
