About the beach
Secluded long sandy beach between cities Cabarete and Sosua.
Both edges of the beach are lined with sharp stones. On this beach there is a wooden seating area, a swing, a bar, a stylish outdoor mini gym, nets for children, the possibility of massages in the privacy of the second floor of an outdoor house overlooking the ocean. The entrance to the ocean at the hotel is quite steep, on the other side of the beach it is lined with sharp stones, but the access is steep. There are often high waves here, so check for red flags.
Perla Marina offers perfect views from the outdoor seating and the natural atmosphere of the entire area. It is maintained and clean. In the western part (next to the Las Olas hotel) you can walk through a small forest to a wonderful cliff, where you can enjoy the interesting waves, the sunset or swim in the tiny craters on the cliff.
Access
You can walk to this beautiful beach from Encuentro beach. Just before the beach you pass an abandoned yellow house, then you pass through a small forest and you are there. The second option is from the main road through the gate of the city part of Perla Marina. Do not be deterred by the barrier and the security guard, who will either automatically let you in or, when asked where you are going, answer that to the Natura Cabana hotel, which also has a freely accessible bar on the beach. After passing through the gate, continue straight down the street until you come to the end of the road in the forest and a narrow footpath next to the Hotel Las Olas.
