{"id":2208,"date":"2023-11-17T14:38:51","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T18:38:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dospocolocos.com\/?p=2208"},"modified":"2023-11-25T15:41:00","modified_gmt":"2023-11-25T19:41:00","slug":"alert-tropical-disturbance-possible-cyclone-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dospocolocos.com\/en\/blogs\/events\/alert-tropical-disturbance-possible-cyclone-22\/","title":{"rendered":"ALERT- Tropical disturbance, possible Cyclone 22"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Emergency Operations Center<\/strong> (COE) raised alert this Friday in the 19 provinces due to the downpours that will continue over the weekend due to the effects of possible tropical cyclone 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S <strong>RED ALERT<\/strong> - Pedernales, Barahona, El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a, Independencia, San Juan, Azua and Bahoruco. All of them there are at the southwest of the country where National Meteorological Office (Onamet) expects significant rains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another 7 provinces are on <strong>YELLOW ALERT<\/strong> - Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Peravia, Dajab\u00f3n, Monse\u00f1or Nouel, San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa and San Crist\u00f3bal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Five provinces were placed in <strong>GREEN<\/strong>. These are: San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, Hato Mayor, La Vega, Monte Plata and S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the morning this Friday, the center of the possible tropical cyclone is located 250 kilometers west-southwest of Kingston, Jamaica. Rains are recorded over Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and also the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The potential tropical cyclone is expected to produce rainfall of 4 to 8 inches with maximum amounts of 16 inches in parts of Jamaica, southeastern Cuba and southern Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti) through Sunday morning.
